The win over Minnesota was the perfect game for Michigan to have at this point in the season. It was close enough that they won’t start thinking they’re invincible, but wide enough a margin that it was never really in doubt. If the Maize and Blue can utterly dominate a game in which they record no sacks and force no turnovers, the performances can only get better in other games, as those stats get back up to their normal levels. The team held one of the best rushing attacks in the country to just 108 yards. They have proven they can stop the run. Two passing TDs were given up by a player who was only starting because Morgan Trent was injured.
Thus far, there is the perfect balance of humility and swagger in this team.
