VA QB commit Kevin Newsome. Some glorious, glorious reassurance from Sam Webb that he is firmly committed, and recruiting other players to Michigan. Now in convenient print form! Newsome speaks with SI about transferring to Hargrave.
FL QB Eugene Smith. He made the Elite 11. And is performing quite well.
FL S Jonathan Scott. Michigan in his top 3 (info in header).
SC DEs Sam Montgomery and Chris Bonds. Both plan to take officials to Michigan.
FL CB Mywan Jackson. Michigan visit this weekend.
NJ DE/OL Anthony LaLota. Narrows his list to 7 (including the Wolverines).
NV DE Keenan Graham. Will he decide before getting a chance to visit Michigan?
MS S Rod Woodson. Now reports an offer.

Analysis:
Hooray, a defensive end! Michigan will want at least one more in this class, likely a speed rusher. Other sources of celebration: Reassurance on the Newsome front! Hooray!

graham visited u-m last month
can someone clear up whether or not Newsome will be playing for the post-grad team at Hargrave. It appears from this article that he definitely is, but I’ve also seen articles in the past that specifically say he can’t.

Newsome will be playing for the post-grad team. The confusion comes from an article in which the coach of another military school said it was against his own school’s policy to have high-schoolers play on post-grad teams.
The statement did not apply to Hargrave, and Newsome will be able to play on the post-grad team there.
The only other Highschooler I’ve know to play on a post-grad football team recently was Vidal Hazelton, who I believe also played for Hargrave.
Jones has grown into a DT so unfortunately, we still badly need DE’s.

I disagree that Jones is necessarily a DT. The projections for college position are based on the idea that he’ll gain a lot of weight when he starts playing in college (as most recruits do). I think he will be able to add muscle without putting on too much weight under Barwis.
IMO, he projects as a big strongside DE, or a hybrid DE/DT-type player.
Woodsen is a Bama commit. Graham did visit last month, but has also recently said he doesn’t want to play where it is cold.
